A sister-company of The Illyrian Players, More than "No" is a sex-positive, artistic approach to encourage the discussion of date-rape, sexual assault, prevention, and consent.
More Than "No" was founded by Illyrian ensemble member, performer and passionate activist, Bitsy LaBourbon. Many Illyrian artists are involved with More Than "No", and use their talents as storytellers to promote awareness and prevention of sexual abuse, to teach the concept of enthusiastic consent, and to be supportive advocates for survivors. http://www.morethanno.org/ https://www.facebook.com/morethanno/ Instagram: @morethanno
Illyrian Players leads ongoing weekly performance workshops with the kids at Good Shepherd Shelter. We volunteer once a week during the school year to lead children living at the shelter (ages 5-12) in theatre games, ensemble building, and creating and performing their own play.
If you would like to join us as a regular teaching artist, please email Varlerie at valerie.vasilas@gmail.com with the subject line 'Good Shepherd Volunteer'.
